1964 Porsche 356 C Cabriolet

Introduced for 1964, the 356 C represented the ultimate development of Porsche’s original production model. Its most important advancement was the adoption of four-wheel disc brakes, while numerous detail refinements further improved the 356’s comfort and usability. ‌ This 1964 356 C Cabriolet, chassis 161034, is attractively presented in its factory color scheme of Schiefergrau (Slate Gray, code 6401) over red leather upholstery, complemented by a black cloth soft top. The understated exterior color and richly contrasting interior beautifully suit the Cabriolet’s clean, elegant lines. ‌ Maintained for years by a dedicated 356 enthusiast, this Porsche presents in appealing, usable condition, with impressive body fit and a handsome overall appearance. It has also recently benefited from servicing. In place of its original engine, the car is powered by a later Porsche 912 unit, providing increased performance and making it well suited to modern traffic and regular enjoyment. Accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, owner’s manual, tool kit, jack, and optional luggage rack, this 356 C Cabriolet combines classic style with welcome practicality. Equally suited to city driving or top-down weekend excursions, it offers an inviting entry into open-air Porsche ownership. car
