A pair of Hungarian handmade fine porcelain electrified single-arm wall sconces, hand-painted by the mid-century ceramic artist Bakos ‰va. Reflecting her background as a decorator for the Herend factory during the 1950s and 1960s, each fixture features a molded plate-form backplate detailed with a scalloped, pierced openwork border and decorated with a gilded floral spray. A single S-curved porcelain branch arm extends outward to support a flared bobeche candle cup finished with a soft celadon-green wash. The fixtures are modified for electric use with candle-sleeves, while the reverses bear a blue printed factory designation and the hand-painted script signature of Bakos ‰va. Dimensions: 9"W x 8"H Weight: 2.5 lbs Condition Request Condition Report As is, age related wear. Will need to be re-wired.
