Desirable A.C. Gilbert No. 7-1/2 White Truck Erector Set, housed in its original red wooden case with original exterior decal, decorative brass corner hardware, and colorful interior paper litho graphic featuring the White truck chassis. Includes the original upper display tray with mounted components, including white rubber-tired wheels, brass pulleys, gears, castings, frame members, and assorted hardware. The lower compartment contains additional parts, truck body components, boiler and fender sections, wheels, chains, hardware, and more. Accessory part boxes appear to be reproduction. No instructions present. One of the brass lid hinges is completely detached (but present), so the lid does not stay open well, and the 2 front closure clasps are also loose. This set has not been collated for completeness and is sold with what is shown. Overall case approx. 22.5 x 10.5 x 5.5 inches. From the remarkable lifetime Collection of Michael Kent.
