A. Candreva (XX-XXI) - Il rosso dei sogni in viaggio

Andrea Candreva — “The Red of Dreams on a Journey” Painting on canvas, 30 × 50 cm A large red mane rises against an almost monochrome landscape, becoming the visual centerpiece of an essential and imaginative composition. The tree, supported by a strongly curved black trunk, is built through a tight weave of red strokes, dark shadows, and small light accents. The foliage expands freely outward, suggesting a gentle vibrancy and restrained energy. At the foot of the trunk, a bicycle introduces a everyday detail, while a hot air balloon with red and light stripes soars in the left part of the sky. Lower down, a small white sail with a red accent crosses the horizon of the sea. These elements create a subtle link between earth, water, and air, evoking different possibilities for travel. The gray and white background, pierced by a few marks, amplifies the intensity of the crown and leaves room for imagination. The work combines the quiet of a pause under the tree with the desire to depart, translating the landscape into a poetic vision of freedom and movement.
