A George III Sterling Silver Standish, Marked for Thomas Daniell, London, c. 1789 Comprising a navette-form tray on scrolled feet, with reeded and bright-cut borders, the central vase-form pot flanked by cut glass wells topped with pierced silver covers; fully marked on underside with Daniell's mark overstriking another, and partially on covers. Dimensions: 12 in. wide, 5 in. deep, 7 1/4 in. high, overall 19.71 ozt (approximate) Provenance: Christie's, New York, 23 October 2000, lot 422; From a Bensalem, PA collection. Condition In good overall condition with some dings, rubbing and wear consistent with age and use. Build-up of residue in one glass well.
