A VICTORIAN GILTWOOD AND AMETHYST TRIPOD TABLE THE TABLE SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, THE AMETHYST TOP LATE 20TH CENTURY The inset amethyst-veneered top on a ring turned column with splayed legs, headed with scallop shells 87cm high, 49cm diameter Condition Report: The Blue John veneer constructed in six radiating section, showing natural inclusions and natural cracks with some surface scratching. The giltwood table with some rubbing, ware, discoloration and very minor gilt loss to the extremities. Minor old apparent inactive wood worm hole to the timber. The circular boarder to the top is removable, allowing access to the Blue John panel, which is removable.
