After Emile Galle (French 1846-1904) Art Nouveau Cameo Glass Clematis Vase

The baluster-form body features a slightly flared rim and is supported by a circular pedestal foot. The vessel is constructed of multiple layers of cased glass with a frosted amber ground and acid-etched overlays in shades of deep maroon and reddish-pink. The decorative motif depicts flowering clematis branches with long lanceolate leaves and five-petaled blossoms. A relief-etched cameo signature reading Galle is located on the side of the body, featuring a stylized G with a long underline extending beneath the name.
