This is a beautiful pair of large antique oil on canvas seascape paintings, 'The incoming tide; and Catching the breeze' and each signed lower right by the notable British artist Gustave De Bréanski (1856-1898). One painting features a fishing boat in choppy waters, the other a fishing boat unloading the catch The artist has used a very delicate palette of colours and has succeeded in adding some mystery to the scenes.
