PSSP-type design typical of the 1820s and 1830s. "FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS" at top center along the margin, but below various banner-like border cuts emblazoned "500" or representative of floral details. "MASSACHUSETTS" at left laid atop a serpentine panel. Inwards, viewers can observe a pair of ovoid "500" counters situated vertically alongside an arrangement that mirrors the top margin in the bottom margin. Bank title and denomination at center with location imprint evident below "BEARER ON DEMAND." Mirrored counter arrangement at right evocative of its counterpart at left. A total of (6) rounded POCs may be seen above the signature panels. This institution ultimately became the National Union Bank (Charter# 985) in 1865.
