This piece represents a Sao horseman fashioned in metal and enhanced with leather, in the pure tradition of ancient African arts. The rider, in a deliberately minimalist style, stands proudly on his mount, embodying the power and prestige that the horse symbolized in Sahelian cultures. The geometric and elongated shapes recall the minimalist, symbolic aesthetic unique to the Sao civilization, while the raw textures of metal and leather evoke both artisanal authenticity and the patina of time. The whole exudes an aura of strength, history, and spirituality. One paw shorter!
