“Elvis Presley” (Mixed Media on Canvas) **Author:** Anonymous / Urban-pop Artist (not specified) **Year:** Contemporary **Measurements:** 90 × 66 cm **Support:** Canvas **Technique:** Mixed media (acrylic, enamel, dripping, splatters, glitter, epoxy resin and possible interventions with markers or spray paint) This work is a powerful portrait of **Elvis Presley** in his most iconic era (1950s-1960s), characterized by his pompadour, black sunglasses and microphone in hand. The artist has chosen a free and energetic reinterpretation, far from photographic realism, to turn the King of Rock into an explosive pop symbol. - **Drip style:** Inspired by Jackson Pollock and Abstract Expressionism, there are abundant lines and paint splatters in green, blue, red and black that cross the face, hair and suit. These drops and streams are not merely decorative: they generate movement and energy, evoking the frenetic rhythm of rock and roll and Elvis’s stage vibration. - **Splatters and urban gestures:** The splatter and drip technique combines with more controlled strokes and white and black lines that define the contours of the face, sunglasses and hands. This creates a dialogue between controlled chaos and precision. - **Epoxy resin:** A bright and crystalline finish is evident in several areas (especially on the glasses and parts of the hair). The resin seals the layers of paint, intensifies the colors and creates depth and volume, giving the piece a contemporary and luxurious look. #### Composition and symbolism Elvis appears in a close, almost frontal shot, with the head slightly tilted and the microphone near the mouth, capturing the moment of performance. His expression, partially hidden behind the sunglasses, conveys mystery and charisma. The composition breaks with the tradition of classic portraiture: the face emerges amid a whirlwind of color and matter, as if the energy of rock had exploded onto the canvas. The use of **mixed media** reflects the complexity of the character itself: Elvis was an icon who combined tradition (Southern gospel) with innovation and youthful rebellion. ### General interpretation This piece is a contemporary celebration of Elvis’s myth. It does not aim to be a faithful portrait, but a reinterpretation in an urban-pop key that connects Abstract Expressionism, Warhol’s Pop Art (for the iconic treatment) and current street art (glitter, drips and resin). The result is a vibrant, textured, and lively work that perfectly reflects the exuberant personality of the most influential artist of the 20th century. The 90×66 cm format makes it ideal for both domestic spaces and contemporary art exhibitions. **Authenticity and Shipping:** The work is offered directly by Charles Farigola guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself. The painting will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipping. Upon payment confirmation, a three-day period is required to prepare the piece and ship it. Delivery time will depend on the destination, with a maximum of up to ten business days.
