CHILE. 8 Reales, 1839-So IJ. Santiago Mint. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. KM-96.1. A SCARCE issue that offers a pleasing appearance with much remaining detail. The strike is bold with even wear and lovely rich gray patina with iridescent hues in the peripheries lending to its good eye appeal. Close inspection reveals evidence of a light past cleaning, now subdued and quite attractive. Overall a handsome example of the type with much remaining luster. Estimate: $700 - $1,000. Provenance: Ex: Pablo I. de Jesus.
