Appealing "Memento" Dollar with Dot CHINA. Dollar, ND (1912). Nanking Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details. L&M-48A; K-600B; KM-Y-318.1; cf. WS-0158 (for regular issue; dot variant not recognized, though the plated example for the type features the dot). High five-pointed stars variety, with dot below ear. Serving as the forerunner to the abundantly struck "memento" Dollars of the late 1920s, this lightly cleaned and moderately circulated crown stands as an intriguing variant, with the goiter-like nodule (referred to in the literature as a dot) rather prominent and clear to see below the ear of Sun Yat-sen. Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000. Provenance: From the Liu Mung Wang (汪柳門) Collection. To view all items from the Liu Mung Wang (汪柳門) Collection, click here. Click here for certification details from PCGS. Estimate:£1,359.2
