Colourful Vintage Cufflinks With Gemstones, Circa 1990

We discovered this pair of cufflinks in the Rhineland. A total of 34 fine gemstones and 10 pearls turn the sides of the large buttons into a veritable firework of colours. Sapphires, emeralds, pink tourmalines, garnets, amethysts, blue zircons and white star sapphires are set around a central pearl. A magnificent arrangement that is effectively repeated in the other cufflinks. The gemstones are set in gold. A fixed bar with a curved plate makes the pair easy to put on. The bars are quite long, making them particularly suitable for wearing on a jacket or blazer. An unusual, large and unique pair, a potpourri of gemstones and fireworks on the wrist.
