Contax RTS II Quartz - 1982 + Tokina 2,8/24mm | Single lens reflex camera (SLR)

On offer is a Yashica / Contax RTS II Quartz camera body with Tokina RMC f2.8/24mm lens. The Contax RTS II Quartz camera was produced in Japan in 1982. It is an upgraded version of the RTS. This updated version has most of the differences in the electronic capabilities. The time-related functions of the RTS II are all based on quartz crystal technology. The film flash metering uses a Silicon Photo Diode cell. The electronic shutter now has a mechanical back-up when the batteries would fail. There is a new titanium shutter blade with speeds from 4 seconds to 1/2000 sec in manual mode and up to 16 seconds in automatic mode. This camera can operate with a W-3 winder or a W-6 motor drive. This camera was a expensive model at purchase in 1982, and has earned the respect of many users. The unit for sale is in good working order and the external cosmetic condition is as shown in the photos: used but certainly not abused. All functions operate well. The camera uses a 4LR44 battery (not included), but these batteries are readily available in many photo shops or large department stores. The Tokina RMC f2.8/24mm lens is in very good condition. Unscathed, no dust, no fungus, and no haze. The aperture range is from f2.8 to f16. The camera with lens is supplied with a 52mm UV filter and a lens cap in good condition (both from an unknown brand). Will be carefully packed and shipped with Track & Trace number and insurance. NOTE: I always ship my goods with a Track & Trace number and insurance, and this is to protect against potential damage and theft. This shipping cost is more expensive than regular shipping but is required to be offered by us by Catawiki due to tracking capabilities. I also ship my goods via Catawiki’s "Smart Shipping." This has been introduced to achieve cheaper shipping costs with different carriers. Everything happens automatically via Catawiki and I only receive a digital shipping label to print and affix to the package. I also take advantage of a one-time expense allowance of €10, which is included in the shipping costs. This cost covers the time I spend packing, the packing box, the time I spend driving (to and from) to the post office, and a contribution to fuel because my car does not run on water. If you cannot agree with this, please do not place bids. Thanks in advance.
