Davide Zanella per Arte Zeta Studio - 1 Original colour...

Jigen and Lupin - A Break from Crime Dimensions 29cm x 41cm Watercolor on cotton rag paper Original watercolor painting entirely hand-painted, depicting Lupin III and his inseparable companion Jigen leaning against their iconic yellow Fiat 500. A scene that captures the more relaxed and carefree side of the two protagonists, between complicity, hair-raising adventures and that unmistakable anticonformist spirit that made famous the saga created by the Japanese cartoonist Monkey Punch. For nearly twenty years, Davide Zanella has pursued an artistic path that combines traditional watercolor technique with a passion for illustration and Japanese animation. Painter and illustrator, he is the official Mediaset licensee for Lupin III and creates original works dedicated to the famous narrative universe, reinterpreting its characters and atmospheres through a personal and recognizable style. In this composition, the presence of the small yellow car adds a touch of nostalgia and character, framing the rapport between Lupin and Jigen. The relaxed attitude of the two characters conveys an image rich in personality, while the watercolor technique provides color depth and a distinctive painterly quality, transforming an icon of animation into a hand-painted original work. Created for Arte Zeta Studio, this watercolor is a unique piece with strong collectible appeal, dedicated to fans of Lupin III, of Jigen Daisuke, and of the unmistakable imagery created by Monkey Punch. A tribute to the most closely bonded duo in the world of gentleman thieves, ideal for those who love Japanese animation, timeless characters, and the cars that have earned a special place in pop culture.
