Domaine de la Taille aux Loups is the estate of Jacky Blot, a former wine broker who from 1989 built a holding of old-vine parcels at Montlouis-sur-Loire, across the river from Vouvray, and became one of the Loire's most exacting growers of dry Chenin Blanc. Rémus is his old-vine dry Montlouis Chenin, all tension and stony precision. James Molesworth from Wine Spectator gave it a rating of 91, and Jancis Robinson gave it 16.5++ out of 20.
