This English creamware mug, dating to approximately 1800, features a slightly tapered cylindrical form with a loop strap handle. The exterior body is decorated using the agate slip technique, which creates a dense, marbled pattern of intermingling brown, ochre, and cream-colored slips designed to simulate the appearance of natural agate stone. The rim, base, and handle are finished in a natural cream-colored glaze. The underside of the base retains several labels, including a rectangular white dealer label for Martyn Edgell Antiques Ltd identifying the piece as creamware with agate slip, two silver circular stickers for the Rubin Collection, and a handwritten inventory label with a historical price. No impressed or printed manufacturer marks are present on the base. Small rim chips on base. Dimensions: 4.00"L x 3.00"W x 3.75"H.
