Oil on pressed cardboard Pastoral landscape with cattle European school Period: 19th-20th century. The painting depicts a bucolic scene of classical taste. The work portrays a pastoral landscape characterized by large leafy trees with knobby trunks, under which cows and sheep graze. On the right, a shepherd figure lies on the ground in a moment of quiet. The compositional setup and the atmospheric rendering of the sky recall the tradition of European landscape painting from the 18th to the 19th century. The painting is embellished by a veneered wood frame with a burl finish, finished with a light-colored fabric passe-partout, which enhances its decorative impact.
