Splendid and exclusive lot composed of two coordinated works by master Fabio Calvetti (Certaldo), 1956. A prominent figure of the new Italian Figurazione. Created in 1993, these two works display an extraordinary conceptual and compositional continuity, almost forming a narrative diptych on the theme of nocturnal waiting and dreaming. Work 1) "The Last Moon": Depicts a female figure lying on an armchair, characterized by a deep and sensuous neckline, immersed in an atmosphere suspended and Hopperian. Work 2) "The Dream Night": An item of exceptional collector’s interest, this painting depicts the imposing backrest of the same armchair present in the first work, creating a fascinating play of gazes, absences and spatial continuity between the two paintings.
