Ruff - Calidris pugnax A refined specimen of the Ruff (Calidris pugnax), prepared in eclipse plumage or female plumage. The specimen is mounted in an upright, alert pose, characteristic of waders, which elongates its silhouette. The plumage is in excellent condition and shows intricate markings in shades of brown, ochre, and gray on the back and wings, fading to a lighter, finely mottled chest and belly. The straight bill and long, slender legs are intact and well positioned. The bird rests firmly on a dark artificial naturalistic base that reproduces a clod of earth or rock. Conditions: Well-executed taxidermy, clean, tight plumage, and free of obvious damage. Support: Rustic and textured artificial display base, ideal for showroom display. Provenience: Private natural history collection. The buyer is responsible for verifying the import authorization of an object, as well as duties and taxes payable at the time of import. Therefore, please check for any specific import rules applicable to bringing an object into your country. The regulations may concern import bans and licenses, as well as regulations on customs duties, VAT, excise duties, and clearance costs.
