Artemidatre – Geometric Design Photo Frame with Author’s Bas-relief in 925 Silver by Franz Borghese – Complete with Original Box A refined union between the geometric rigor of modernism and the irreverent figurative satire of 20th-century Italy. This exclusive photo frame, a signed Artemidatre masterpiece, is not merely a piece of furniture but a true collectible art multiple. The squared structure, crafted in brushed satin metal with clean, essential lines, frames a dark smoked glass pane. The entire composition comes alive thanks to an extraordinary sculptural detail: a circular medallion cast in precious 925 silver, bearing the autograph inscription of one of the great masters of contemporary painting and sculpture, Franz Borghese (1941-2005). Inside the silver micro-sculpture, the famous Borghese “Characters” emerge clearly: two figures mirroring the early 20th-century bourgeoisie, redefined by the artist’s cynical, ironic, and deeply expressionist gaze. The specimen retains its splendid patina of time (natural tarnish of silver), which gives tridimensionality and character to the sculptural reliefs and enhances their historical authenticity. On the precious metal are clearly legible both the “925” stamp set in the oval and the maker’s identifying mark who oversaw the fusion for Artemidatre. Rarity and Design: The lot represents an absolute rarity for the collectibles market, being an epoch piece exceptionally preserved together with its original “Artemidatre” red-lacquered box with gold logo. The author multiples created by Artemidatre in collaboration with the masters of the last century are today highly sought after in elite interior design and antique catalogs for their limited diffusion and the high value of the materials used. Artist of the bas-relief: Franz Borghese (Signed) Producer: Artemidatre Medallion material: Silver 925 (stamped) Structure: Satin metal and smoked glass Conditions: Excellent vintage condition, natural patina on the silver, fine signs of time consistent with the age. Accessories: Original box included. A unique opportunity to acquire a signed piece that unites high silverware, author design, and great Italian figurative art. Franz Borghese (Rome, 1941 – 2005) was an Italian painter, engraver, and sculptor. An ironic artist and keen observer of contemporary society, he developed a figurative language immediately recognizable, populated by grotesque and caricatural characters that satirically and humorously represent the bourgeois world and its contradictions. His works span painting to graphics, with an engraving production of great technical refinement. He exhibited in numerous Italian and international galleries, earning wide public and critical acclaim. Please read the entire listing carefully. The attached photographs constitute an integral part of the description and must be examined carefully as they tell stories and details that words cannot fully explain.
