French Louis XVI Style Ormolu-Mounted White Marble Portico Clock

The circular white enamel dial marked Louis Faure a Paris, with Roman numerals, silver-toned hands and twin winding apertures, enclosed within a gilt-bronze bezel. The elegant architectural case, executed in white marble and finely mounted with chased and gilt bronze, is surmounted by a richly cast floral crest and supported by four tapering columns with ormolu capitals and bases. The base is adorned with laurel swags, rosettes and beaded borders, raised on turned feet. The movement with pendulum.
