Garcia- Lopez, Jose - 1 Original drawing - Joker - Straight Jacket - 1988

José Luis García-López – The Joker in Straight Jacket Original drawing depicting The Joker, created and hand-signed by José Luis García-López. The work shows the Joker in a straightjacket, portrayed frontally with a composition that is particularly strong and expressive. At the bottom there is the artist's autograph accompanied by the handwritten dedication “To Bruce.” José Luis García-López is one of the artists most closely associated with the classic DC Comics universe and has contributed significantly to the graphic definition of its characters. Title: The Joker in Straight Jacket Year: 1988 Medium: original drawing on paper Dimensions of the work: 30.2 × 22.7 cm Signature: hand-signed on the front Dedication: “To Bruce” Unique work. The sheet is currently presented on a backing with small photographic corners and is easily removable; it is not glued to the backing. Excellent overall condition. The photographs are an integral part of the description. Careful, rigid, tracked, and insured shipping. I would absolutely remove the line “possibly Bruce Wayne!”: it’s charming, but for a serious sale it creates an imaginary provenance that we cannot prove.
