The Glashütte Original Senator Manual Winding Skeletonised Edition 1-49-18-01-05-30 is an exceptional demonstration of traditional German watchmaking, placing the hand-skeletonized mechanical movement at the center of the design. Its 18K red gold case, openworked construction, and hand-finished movement showcase the decorative craftsmanship associated with the Glashütte manufacture. The 42 mm 18K red gold case measures approximately 9.5 mm thick and surrounds a galvanized silver skeletonized dial. A railroad-style minute track, Roman numerals, and blued steel hands provide classical contrast while leaving the architecture of the movement clearly visible. The watch is powered by the manually wound Glashütte Original Caliber 49-18, offering approximately 40 hours of power reserve. The movement is extensively skeletonized and hand-engraved, with traditional details including a swan-neck fine adjustment, polished steel components, blued screws, and screwed gold chatons.
