GOUDELIN (Pierre). *Le Ramelet moundi de tres flouretos*. Toulouse, Printed by Jean Boudo, 1638. In-8, red morocco leather, triple fillet, decorated spine, interior lace, edges gilt on marbled paper (Trautz-Bauzonnet). A rare edition of the principal poetry collection by Pierre Goudelin (Pèire Godolin) (1580–1649), a Toulouse poet and leading figure in Occitan literature. The original was published in 1617. One of the poems (“Cartel de mascarado”) contains a reference to a chieftain of the Brazilian Tupinambas tribe. A Dictionary of the Toulouse Dialect, by Jean Doujat, occupies 72 pages in a separate section at the end. Ex-libris with the letter D, engraved by Stern. Skillfully restored on a few leaves (notably on leaf M3, where the page numbers have been rewritten in pen).
