INDIA. 10 Rupees Restrike, 1870-(C). Calcutta Mint. Victoria. NGC PROOF-65. Fr-1599A; KM-477; S&W-4.15; Prid-28. A needle-sharp Proof Restrike issue featuring a young bust of Victoria and lacking the "CM" initials on the truncation. An enviable survivor in this luminous Gem state and quite elusive as such, boasting deeply reflective luster and remarkably preserved yellow-gold surfaces. Exceedingly appealing as a representative of this popular type. Estimate: $9,000 - $12,000. Click here for certification details from NGC. Estimate:£4,091.71
