Italian school (XIX) - La contadina

Splendid and antique painting of the Neapolitan school from the early 19th century. It depicts a classic scene in traditional folk costumes of the Kingdom of Naples. Tempera and watercolour on paper, 20.5 x 16 cm. Work on a fine, period frame in hand-carved wood, gilded with gold leaf. Some normal signs of age visible in the photos. Very fascinating and in good condition.
