This lot features an Art Deco ceramic vase from the Boch Frères Keramis manufacture, located in Belgium. This model with minimalist lines, created in 1934, was designed by the famous French-Belgian ceramist and designer Charles Catteau. The object displays an enameled decoration imitating dinanderie metalwork, composed of wide horizontal bands in warm shades of brown and orange, separated by thin silver lines. Under the base, the piece bears the printed stamp of the Boch Frères Keramis Made in Belgium manufacture, as well as the shape number 1266 incised into the paste, the decor reference D1818 and a workshop mark hand-painted in black. The object has an individual and total weight of 1200 g. Regarding its metric dimensions, the vase stands at a height of 22 cm, features a maximum diameter of 16 cm at its widest part and a neck diameter measuring 13.5 cm. The piece is in a good overall state of conservation. However, there is a stain of unknown nature on its surface, which should be easy to reduce or remove using an appropriate cleaning product. Additionally, the brown enamel shows some texture irregularities and original firing defects, which are visible in the detailed close-up photographs.
