Polished and translucent labradorite cabochon set in 925 silver and linked in a modern 925 silver chain. It was originally discovered on the Labrador Peninsula (Canada), the place from which this jewel originates. It belongs to the feldspar group, specifically plagioclases, with aluminum, calcium and sodium silicate in its chemical composition. It has a hardness of 6-6.5 on the Mohs scale. Its iridescent play of colors (labradorescence) is due to optical interference. Light enters the gemstone and reflects between ultra-thin internal micro-crystal layers, creating that characteristic visual effect similar to the aurora borealis. It possesses strong energetic protection properties and personal transformation, acting against negative energies and calming the mind. Customs costs outside the EU will be borne by the auction winner.
