The sculptural jewelry designed by Weckström in the 1960s marked a revolution in the then still very conservative jewelry world and made him world famous. Many of the silver jewelry designed by Björn Weckström have been inspired by the cold beauty of the Nordic winter. The ever-changing sculptural shapes blown by the wind have been immortalized in the jewelry, the dialogue between mirror-clear and dull matte shimmering silver brings to mind pure frozen snow and ice glinting in the winter sun."
