Rare white leucistic Little Owl (Athene noctua) – Leucistic form – Specimen with leg band closed & CITES / CIC document An exceptional and particularly rare specimen of the Little Owl (Athene noctua) presenting a leucistic mutation, giving it an entirely immaculate white plumage. For this species with plumage typically dark brown speckled with white, such an absence of melanistic pigmentation is an extremely rare genetic anomaly, highly sought after by natural history collectors and enthusiasts of exceptional pieces. Condition: Remarkable taxidermy work, complete and well-groomed plumage, natural posture and expressive gaze. Mounting: Displayed perched on a trunk of driftwood / natural rough wood.
