Rubies are among the most precious gemstones of all. Their color, which ranges from vivid crimson to deep, glowing red, has made them objects of desire for centuries. Their high degree of hardness also makes them ideal for pieces of jewellery that can be worn for generations. This pair of round stud earrings each features one of these natural gemstones, set in a ring of eight sparkling white diamonds. The gemstones rest in settings made of high-carat yellow gold, which are crafted in such a way that plenty of light reaches the stones, allowing their fire to shine through unhindered. A total of around 1.40 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds are set, while the two rubies together weigh just over one carat. The ear studs from the 1980s are in excellent condition and were made by the Georg Leicht jewelry manufactory in Pforzheim. An independent appraisal confirms the quality of the materials used. A pair with a clear shape and timeless beauty, created to shine discreetly yet unmissably.
