All auctions / Jewellery & Gems / Necklace Made of Red & White Patterned Precious Coral with Gold Clasp, c. 1990

The precious corals, which are mainly used to make jewellery, come in a variety of colors. The spectrum ranges from white to a delicate pink, to the much sought-after salmon tone in light and dark shades, to the strong and dark red, which is also known as oxblood. A Pacific coral, whose wonderful shades are reminiscent of strawberry ice cream with cream, is presented here. The necklace features a total of 54 polished beads of precious coral, which are individually knotted. A practical ball clasp made from high-carat gold holds the necklace securely in place. The piece of jewelry was created around 1990, is in first-class condition and extremely decorative. Its row of fine corals, knotted by hand, delights and delights anew with every glance.
