Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve — Pair of Vintage Turkish Silk Hereke Hunting-Scene Rugs — Mid-20th Century Size: 3 ft x 2 ft (0.91 m x 0.6 m) Provenance: Property of a Nashville collector An exceptional pair of silk Hereke pictorial rugs depicting animated hunting scenes with figures, animals, trees, and landscape details. The complexity of these subjects demanded tremendous technical control, with subtle curves and miniature figures translated into thousands of individual silk knots. Hunting imagery has deep roots in Persian and Ottoman court art, symbolizing nobility, courage, and royal authority. Offered together without reserve, this pair combines narrative interest, luxurious material, and impressive weaving skill.
