The table of contents makes it possible to precisely locate the letters: Rome 1814, 19 December 1814, 3 January 1815, 20 January, 7 March, 22 March, 19 April, 24 June, then several letters from 1816. ---- Pierre-Jean David, known as "David d’Angers", born 12 March 1788 in Angers and died 5 January 1856 in Paris, was a French sculptor and medalist, representative of romanticism in 19th century French sculpture. ---- Louis Dupré, born in 1789 in Versailles, died in 1837 was a French history painter and lithographer. Original Edition in 1 volume in-8 half-percaline bound to the bradel, 76 pages, covers preserved - Slight external wear, fresh interior - Nice copy.
