Paris, between 1777 and 1780 Solid silver pitcher with a plain body, adorned with a blackened wooden handle. Silversmith’s hallmark for Jacques Debrie (who became a master silversmith in Paris in 1777 and died in 1782), consisting of a crowned fleur-de-lis, two remère seeds, the letters JDB, and a star. Hallmark: A crowned letter A for Paris between 1775 and 1781. Monkey-head hallmark for 958-thousandths silver. Gross weight: 231g Height: 13 cm Very slight dents beneath the base.
