PHILIPPINES. Philippine Exhibition Bronze Medal, 1887. Alfonso XIII. NGC MS-63 Brown. Honeycutt-31A. Diameter: 31 mm. Obverse: Two shields on banners, rope, tassels and hat above, "MANILA" below, legend above "P.P AGUSTINOS" and below "CALSADOS Y DESCALZOS"; Reverse: Seven-line inscription "XV./ CENTENARIA/ DE LA/ CONVERSION/ DE/ Sn AGUSTIN 387-1887". This lovely example boasts a strong strike with bold devices. The surfaces display a beautiful rich brown patina with a cobalt iridescent sheen that pops out when tilted in the light.
