Piero Fornasetti - Coaster (5) - Porcelain - Decor “Cocktail”

Hand-painted porcelain coaster, attributed to the “Cocktail” series created by Fornasetti in the 1950s. The original series is known to consist of 8 different subjects, all handmade, decorated and manually numbered. The item in question depicts the “Martini” subject and bears the number 9, a notable feature since it does not conform to the standard numbering of the commercially marketed sets. This numerical anomaly strongly suggests that it is a studio proof or prototype, not intended for serial production, making the object rare. There are 5 coasters identical to this one with the Martini motif.

Estimate:£210.79
