PORTRAIT OF AN ACTRESS — THEATER - Lot 264

PORTRAIT OF AN ACTRESS — THEATER [ACTRESS]. Portrait in stage costume. [Paris, 19th century]. A full-length engraved portrait of a seated actress, dressed in a loose-fitting stage gown, on China paper mounted on a large sheet. Below the portrait is an autograph signature or handwritten dedication, followed by a barely legible inscription that appears to refer to a role or a performance. A beautiful print with added interest due to its original handwritten inscription. Condition: yellowed and dusty backing; some foxing, creases, and small marginal tears; the applied China paper is slightly marked.

Estimate:£42.36
