Royal Bank of Scotland, partially hand-painted obverse and reverse composite essays for an unissued £1, 2 January 1967, serial number A000000, generic signatures, green, blue, and lilac, obverse with David Dale ‘watermark’ on removable transparent plastic at left, stylised thistle design in underprint, David Dale at right, reverse featuring a vignette of the University of Glasgow and a statue of Lord Kelvin, both essays mounted on grey card and attractively presented within a dark-green, leather-bound De La Rue presentation album, the entire album and contents in excellent, as-made condition, the reverse beautifully drawn, a remarkable piece of Scottish banknote history, indeed this proposed design has never been seen before, and is likely unique PMS and Pick Unlisted, PMS RB 63, Pick 327 for the note issued instead £500-£700.
