Royal Doulton Dancers of the World West Indian Dancer Figurine - Factory

A Royal Doulton glazed porcelain figurine titled West Indian Dancer from the Dancers of the World series. The figure is modeled in a dancing pose, barefoot on a circular black base, holding the edges of a voluminous skirt. The woman is depicted in traditional West Indian dress, featuring a yellow bodice decorated with brown stylized patterns, a purple shawl tied at the waist, a matching purple headwrap, and a layered pink and white skirt with small floral motifs. The underside of the base features a black transfer-printed Royal Doulton factory mark consisting of a lion standing atop a crown with a circular device containing the words Royal Doulton and Made in England surrounding an interlocking D monogram. Below the factory mark is the printed text: THE PROPERTY OF ROYAL DOULTON TABLEWARE LTD. NOT PRODUCED FOR SALE. Two small hand-painted marks in blue glaze are present: the letters HP located above the main mark and a code appearing as 3u near the bottom rim.
