Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craft. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and electroplating. The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to bring to life modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent. title - Back to 1500 resin - Hand-signed 2024 Technique: resin Measurements: 30x20x20 cm Condition: new. Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed. Edition: limited edition 499 ex. - White and silver The artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped by courier with tracking. In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these stand out the appearance at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the Centro d'Arte e Cultura VERUM, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Fuser Private Collection. From craftsman to signature of the Neo-Pop landscape, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifetime of experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression. Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern. Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly within the trajectory of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and ability to reinterpret icons of everyday life or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski. The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation. It is an artisanal work, conceived and entirely produced in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual work. It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean with no detergents, but only a soft cloth."
