Skedro (1991) - Doppio tondo

Oil painting on canvas from a collection. Hand-signed by the contemporary artist Skedro and bearing the gallery's double stamp. Title: Doppio tondo Dimensions: 70 x 50 cm Year: 2023 Skedro is a contemporary artist whose research focuses on representing identity as a continuously transforming process. Through fragmented faces, layered chromatic structures, and gestural, material painting, his works evoke totemic figures suspended between abstraction and presence. The human face becomes a territory to be rebuilt, where mark, color, and matter interweave to reveal the tension between interiority and appearance. His work reflects on the unstable nature of the self, suggesting that identity is never definitive, but always in a state of becoming. www.skedroartist.com NB: The artwork will be shipped in a sturdy tube suitable for shipping. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
