Japanese four-panel folding screen in the style of Omata Kanpu, featuring a weeping cherry tree in bloom. The scene is rendered in the Nihonga style with ink and color pigments on a gold-toned silk ground, incorporating a soft mountainous silhouette in the background. The tree trunk displays textured brushwork, and the blossoms are highlighted with white pigments. The painting is mounted within a black lacquered wooden frame with a light green patterned textile backing on the reverse.
