The handles are adorned with the combined coats of arms of the household formed by François Marie Toussaint du Breil de Pontbriand-Marzan and his wife, née Anne Adrienne Le Peltier de Durauville (who married in 1838), beneath a count’s crown, set within beaded frames and topped with shells. The blades are made of steel. A table knife of the same design is included. Hallmarks: Minerva 1st standard and silversmith’s mark. Silversmith’s name illegible. Total gross weight: 1,170 g. (numerous imperfections; sold as is).
