Two Antique Florentine Giltwood Frames

19th century, the first with carved shell decoration to each side and openwork acanthus leaves, holding an oil on board painting after Raphael Sanzio Madonna of the Goldfinch (13 x 25 in.); the second, with a foliate crest surmounting a bead course surround, holding an copy of an antique daguerreotype portrait (13 x 10 in.) The smaller frame with several repairs and losses; the larger with minor losses, retouching, and age cracking.
