Two Consecutive Days for Two Rods, on 5 miles of the River Taw in North Devon. Two consecutive days for two rods fishing for wild Brown Trout, with the possibility of Sea Trout, on just over five miles of the River Taw. The Taw Fishing Club is offering two private waters, three miles of unspoilt and tranquil waters of the Upper Taw stretching from Brushford bridge to Hawkridge wood in Mid-Devon; and 2.5 miles of river upstream from Bridge Reeve, Tremayne Water containing a variety of pools with salmon, sea trout and brown trout. Fly only, barbless hooks obligatory, catch and release encouraged. Wading is generally straightforward, but access and egress is often via steep wooded banks sometimes with the aid of ladders, so a reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required. Dates by arrangement during the 2027 season. Should you wish, a FFI casting instructor, qualified in single hand casting, is available for a casting/coaching session as part of the 2 days fishing if required. The Taw Fishing Club was formed in 1912 to provide its members with excellent trout fishing. This remit has not changed for over one hundred years. TFC continues to be a club owned and is managed by a small number of wild brown trout enthusiasts who wish to fly-fish on over 5 miles of the unspoilt and tranquil waters of the Upper Taw in Mid-Devon.
