A radiant ruby in vibrant Bordeaux red and sparkling, fine white diamonds are the setting of this wonderful ring. The first-class diamonds are shaped in marquise and brilliant cuts. They surround the precious ruby and make it look like a sparkling flower or a seductive sweet. The ruby is very clear and pure and almost glows in the light. The gemstones in the ring are set in high-carat white gold and mounted high above the finger. Despite its size, this makes the ring comfortable to wear as the fingers can move freely. When viewed from the side, the gemstones appear to float above the finger. Viewed from the front, the fine goldsmith's work cannot be seen at all; the white gold disappears completely in the shine of the precious stones. This very graphic design of the ring is typical of jewellery from the 1960s and 1970s. Cool colors, white metal and almost architecturally conceived designs are typical of this period of optimism. But where was the ring made? A certificate for the ruby in the ring has survived, issued in August 1976 in Milan. It is very likely that the ring was created immediately afterwards. We discovered the ring in Nuremberg. A new expert opinion on the quality of the materials is enclosed with the ring.
