Watcher of the Night - Yuko Montgomery

Watcher of the Night by Yuko Montgomery Painting 18.0 x 14.0 :: This original photorealistic oil painting on canvas captures a barred owl mid-gaze its round ringed face turned just enough to meet the viewer head-on. As a piece of photorealistic wildlife art it's built with the patience of classical technique: every barred feather and downy fleck rendered in exacting detail the dark liquid eyes catching a single point of light — so this owl portrait reads less like a photograph and more like a real encounter the kind where something wild in the dark meets your eyes first. Behind the owl a marsh dissolves into hushed blue-gray dusk — still water bare reeds and drifting mist rendered almost monochrome a deliberate quiet that leaves only one shape to break the silence: a glowing amber-orange moon rising low over the wetland its warmth echoed in the owl's golden eyes and yellow beak. It's the only note of true color in this nocturnal wildlife art piece pulling the eye straight back to the owl itself. Owls have long carried symbolic weight as creatures of wisdom intuition and quiet watchfulness — able to see clearly what others miss in the dark. That's the mood I wanted this bird portrait painting to hold: a subject caught mid-thought alert and unbothered aware of you before you were aware of it. A striking addition for collectors of owl art bird art and original wildlife paintings with expressive eyes — moody enough to anchor a quiet room precise enough to reward a long look. Well suited to collectors building a nature art or wildlife art collection for their home or gallery. :: Type: Painting Medium: Oil Style: Surrealism Subject: Birds Width: 18.0 Height: 14.0 Depth: 0.5 Weight: 1 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
